George Clooney’s new star-studded Netflix movie Jay Kelly has landed a release date.
The upcoming film, directed Noah Baumbach, is described by Netflix as a “heartbreaking comedy” and has the enigmatic tagline: “Everybody knows Jay Kelly, but Jay Kelly doesn’t know himself.”
Very little else is known about the project, except that Clooney will star as the titular character, seen in a first-look image standing in front of what appears to be a billboard of himself.
While plot details are scarce, it has been confirmed that Jay Kelly will arrive in cinemas on 14 November, before streaming on Netflix on 5 December.
Netflix has also confirmed the stacked cast who will be starring alongside Clooney, including Adam Sandler, Laura Dern, Billy Crudup, Riley Keough and Grace Edwards.

Emily Mortimer, who co-wrote the film’s script with Baumbach, will also star, as will Baumbach’s real-life partner Greta Gerwig.
Rounding out the star-studded ensemble are Stacy Keach, Patrick Wilson, Nicôle Lecky, Thaddea Graham, Jim Broadbent, Eve Hewson, Alba Rohrwacher, Lenny Henry, and Josh Hamilton.
As well as directing and co-writing the script, Baumbach is producing Jay Kelly alongside David Heyman and Amy Pascal.

The film marks yet another collaboration between the filmmaker and his wife Greta Gerwig, who wed in December 2023.
The pair have worked together on several occasions, with Gerwig starring in Baumbach’s Greenberg, Frances Ha, Mistress America, The Meyerowitz Stories and White Noise.
They also co-wrote the Oscar-nominated screenplay for Gerwig’s smash hit Barbie, which became the highest grossing film of 2023 as it raked in over $1.4 billion at the box office.
Jay Kelly will arrive in cinemas on 14 November, before streaming on Netflix on 5 December.
